ORDINANCE #92-07 <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> ! <br />AN AMENl)M~NT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND <br />SUBDIVI$~DN[OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE. <br />AN ORD~~ 2E AMENDING CHAPTER 9 AND REPEALING SECTION 9.22 <br />ENTITLED ,OOD PLAINS". <br /> <br />The City Cou~.~ oil of the City of Ramsey, Minnesota hereby ordains: <br />SECTION <br /> - <br />The followi6i official summary of Ordinance g92-07 has been approved by the City Council of the <br />City of Ran~y a~ clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance: <br />It is the inte~an¢I ' <br /> reflect of Ordinance g92-07 to update the City s Zoning Code by revising its <br />Flood Plain Dap ~r so as to be in conformance with Federal Hood Plain regulations. This chapter <br />designates ail4 ich ~tifies three zoning chapters with the City as overlay districts. These zoning <br />districts are ~a~ll ~l Floodway, Hood Fringe and General Flood Plain. Therefore, the City <br /> !Cit~ of Ramsey, Minnesota does ordain as follows: <br /> <br />has, in Minn¢ <br />government iu <br />Council of ~ <br /> <br />iSubd. <br />!a, <br /> <br />2 Findings of Fact: <br /> <br />The flood hazard areas of Ramsey, Minnesota, are subject to periodic <br />inundation which results in potential loss of life, loss of property, health <br />and safety hazards, disruption of commerce and governmental services, <br />extraordinary public expenditures or flood protection and relief, and <br />impairment of the tax base, all of which adversely affect the public health, <br />safety, and general welfare. <br /> <br />Methods Used to Analyze Flood Hazards. This ordinance is based upon a <br />reasonable method of analyzing flood hazards which is consistent with the <br />standards established by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. <br /> <br /> <br />
