ORDINANCE #93-02 CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 2 OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE KNOWN AS COUNCIL,[ BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA The City of P63msey ordains: SECTION 1. The. followin '$ official summary, of. Ordinance.//93-02.has been approved by the City Council of the C~ty of RamsCy as clearly ~nform~ng the public of the ~ntent and effect of the ordinance: It ~s the ~nten[ and effect of Ordinance 4/93-02 to update the Chapter ~n accordance w~th the C~ty Charter and Minnesota Statutes regarding Council, Council Boards and Council Commissions and the manner inl which these Boards and Commissions conduct business activities including the order of business,[ organization of meetings, Commission and Board composition, duties and responsibilities and rules and procedures. A printed copy of Ordinance//93-02 is available for inspection by any person at the Ramsey Municipal Center. This Ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty (30) days after publication according to law. SECTION 2. P, MENDMENT Chapter 2 of the City Code is amended to read as follows: 2.01 City Council. 2.01.01 Meetings. Subd. 1. Regular Meetings. Regular meetings of the City Council; shall be held on thc second and fourth Tuesdays of each calendar month at 7:30 '/':00 P.M. Any regular meetin~gs falling upon a legal holiday shall be held on the next following business day at the same time and place. All meetings shall be held at the Ramsey Municipal Center, the Ramsey Elementary S~hool or such other public location as designated by the City Council. 'Subd. 2. Special Meetings. Special meetings of the council may be called by the mayor .Or any two members of the council by written notice filed with the City Clerk. Each council member Shall receive at least 24 hour notice of such meeting. If that council member cannot be fodnd a written notice of such meeting shall be left at the Council member's home. Special meetifl~gs may be held without prior written notice or when all council members are present at the meetingfor Consent thereto in writing. Such consent shall be filed with the City Clerk prior to the beginning Df the meeting. Any special meeting attended by all the council members shall be a valid meeting for the transaction of any business that may come before the meeting.
