ORDINANCE #94-09 <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 5 OF THE CITY CODE, ADDING SECTION <br />5.13.07 TO BE KNOWN AS THE RECYCLING RATES AND CHARGES <br />SECTION OF THE CITY CODE. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 5.13.07 OF THE CITY CODE OF <br />RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: ?,MENDMENT <br /> <br />Section 5.13.07 of the City Code, entitled "Recycling Rates and Charges" is added to Chapter 5 <br />which shall provide as follows: <br /> <br />5.13.07 RATES AND CHARGES <br /> <br />Subd. 1. Rates and Charges <br /> <br />Rates and charges for recycling collection shall be set by Council resolution. However, the <br />rates fixed shall not be in excess of an amount reasonably calculated to defray the cost of <br />the proper collection and disposal of all recyclable materials. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. Liability of Property Owner <br /> <br />The customer receiving the service shall be deemed to be the property owner who shall be <br />liable to the City for all bills accruing for recycling collection charges upon the ownerts <br />premises whether the same be personally used by the owner, the owner's tenant or other <br />occupant of the premises. <br /> <br />Subd. 3. Billing Statements <br /> <br />Billing statements for recycling collection charges for the preceding period shall be mailed <br />to each customer and shall be deemed sufficient notice to the customer of charges made. <br />Said statements shall be due and payable by the date indicated on the specific billing <br />statement. <br /> <br />Subd. 4. Delinquent Account <br /> <br />All billing statements not paid on or before the due date shall be considered delinquent <br />accounts. It shall be the duty of the City to promptly collect delinquent accounts, and the <br />customer shall be duly notified in writing by the United States mail addressed to the <br />customers billing address. <br /> <br /> <br />
