ORDINANCE NO. 84-13 <br /> <br />CHAPTER 10.11 - City Funds <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CERTAIN NECESSARY CITY FUNDS FOR THE <br />DEPOSIT OF MONIES RECEIVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Ordains: <br /> <br />10.11.1 Purchase. <br /> <br /> It is the purpose of this chapter to establish city funds <br />for the deposit of monies received by the City of Ramsey and to <br />define which funds are eligible for interfund loans. This <br />Chapter is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of <br />section 7.09 of the City Charter. <br /> <br />10.11.2 Establishment of Funds. <br /> <br /> The following Funds and Fund Classifications are hereby <br />established for deposit of revenues: <br /> <br />GOVERNMENTAL FUNDS <br /> <br />A. GENERAL FUND <br /> <br />The General Fund is the general operating fund of the <br />City. It is used to account for all financial <br />resources except those required to be accounted for in <br />another fund. <br /> <br />The General Fund is eligible for interfund loans to and <br />from any other fund. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REVENUE FUNDS <br /> <br />Special Revenue Funds are used to account for specific <br />revenue sources (other than special assessments, <br />expendable trusts, or major capital projects) that are <br />legally restricted to expenditures for specified <br />purposes. <br /> <br />REVENUE SHARING FUND <br /> <br />The Revenue Sharing Fund is used to account for Federal <br />Revenue Sharing Entitlements and their disposition. <br /> <br /> <br />
