ORDINANCE #85-1 <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT To Chapter 210.01 which is known as the "Street <br />Assessment" Chapter of the City Code of Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />An Ordinance amending Chapter 210.01 of the City Code of Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby ordains: <br /> <br />Section 1. ~ <br /> <br /> Section 210.028 Meters is amended by the add/t/on of <br />the following paragraphs: <br /> <br />13) The City of Ramsey shall insure that every <br />customer and user of city water is provided with a <br />3/4" water meter upon request and payment of a meter <br />deposit as set by City Council resolution. Individuals <br />requiring meters larger than 3/4" shall notify the City <br />of their needs and shall pay the difference in cost <br />between the 3/4" meter and the larger meter. <br /> <br />a) No person other than an employee of the City <br />or a licensed master plumber shall install a <br />meter. <br /> <br />b) No customer or user of City water shall be <br />provided with water unless such meter has been <br />installed. <br /> <br />c) Remote readers shall be installed with each <br />meters at a location approved by the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />14) Every water meter shall be sealed by an employee <br />of the City at the time of installation; and at any <br />time thereafter where the seal has been broken. <br /> <br />a) No person shall break or remove said seal, <br />provided however, that a licensed plumber may <br />break said seal for the purpose of making <br />necessary repairs but only after proper notifi- <br />cation to the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />b) Any broken seal or removed water meter shall <br />be reported to the City within 24 hours of such <br />action, or as soon as discovered. <br /> <br />Ordinance #85-1 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
