ORDINANCE NO. 80-10 <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 170.05 KNOWN AS THE "SIGNS" CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE <br />OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ~4ENDING SECTIONS 170.052 AND 170.054 OF THE CITY CODE OF <br />RAMSEY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT <br /> <br />A. Section 170.052 Paragraph 21 is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> 21. "Private Traffic Directional Sign" means a sign which is <br />erected on private property by the owner or with permission of <br />the owner of such property for the purpose of directing vehicular <br />traffic to a specific location. Such signs bear no advertising <br />information, but may bear the name of private businesses and <br />industries. <br /> <br />The first sentence of Section 170.054 "ADVERTISING SIGNS", <br />Paragraph 2 is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> 2. Free standing advertising signs shall be permitted only <br />on the parcels where the subject activity is located, or within <br />2500 feet of the boundary line of the parcel on which the subject <br />activity is located, but in no event shall such a sign be placed <br />on any parcel unless a special use permit is granted therefore. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br /> This ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and publication <br />according to law. <br /> <br />PASSED by the City Council this 16th day of December, 1980. <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />
