ORDINANCE NO. 76- ~ <br /> CITY oF <br />ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 73-6, WHICH IS KNOWN AS "AN <br />ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF DOGS AND REGULATING THE <br />KEEPING OF DOGS AND CATS". <br /> <br />The City Council, City of Ramsey, does ordain: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />a. Section 2r of Ordinance 73-6 is hereby amended to read <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />As used in the ordinance unless the context otherwise <br />indicates: <br /> <br />"Animal" shall be intended to mean a cat oF <br /> dog. <br />"Dog" shall be intended to mean both male and <br /> female. <br /> "Owner" shall be intended to mean any person or <br /> persons, firm, association or corporation owning <br /> keeping or harboring a dog. <br />"At Large" shall be intended to mean off the <br /> premises of the owner and not under the <br /> custody and control of the owner or other <br /> person either by leash,' cord, chain or otherwise. <br />"Commercial kennel" is any place where dogs or <br /> other animals are kept where the business of <br /> raising, selling, boarding, breeding, showing, <br /> treating or grooming of dogs or other animals is <br /> conducted. <br /> "Private kennel" is any premises where dogs or cats <br /> are kept or harbored under circumstances not <br /> amounting to the operation of a commercial kennel <br /> but require a conditional use permit as provided <br /> in Section 20 herein. <br /> "Release Permit" shall be intended to mean a <br /> temporary release for a period of not more than <br /> 72 hours with purchase fees to be applied to . <br /> regular license purchase, provided this is done <br /> within the 72 hours. A release permit may be <br /> obtained at the City's discretion upon payment of <br /> a fee in accordance to that regular license <br /> requirement and payment of a release fee ($10.00) <br /> and any maintenance costs applied. <br /> <br /> <br />
