ORDINANCE NO. 75-8 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR THE MANAGE~IENT OF SHORELAND AREAS OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY. <br /> <br />The City Council, City of Ramsey, ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. PURPOSE. <br /> <br /> The uncontrolled use df shoreland in the City of Ramsey affects <br />the public health,.._~afety and general welfare not only by contributing <br />to pollution of phb%~c waters, but also by impairing the local tax <br />base. Therefore, it is in the best interests of the public health, <br />safety and welfare to provide for the wise development of shorelands <br />of public waters in order to preserve and enhance the quality of surface <br />waters, preserve the economic and natural environmental values of <br />shorelands and to provide for the wise utilization of waters and <br />related land resources. It is, therefore, the purpose of this <br />Ordinance to achieve these above-described goals. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. SHORELANDS AFFECTED <br /> <br /> The public waters of the City of Ramsey affected by this Ordinance <br />are as follows: <br /> <br />Mississippi River ' <br />Rum River <br />Trout Brook <br />Ford Brook <br />Sunfish Lake <br />Lake Itasca <br />Eddy Lake <br />Rogers Lake <br />Those unnamed bodies of ~ater located in the~South <br /> one-half (S1/2) of Section 26, Township 32, Range 25 <br /> <br />SECTION 3. DEFINITION. <br /> <br /> The definition of a high water line shall be determined from <br />the geological survey topographic map done to the largest scale <br /> <br />Engineer. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. RESTRICTIONS. <br /> <br /> (a) Any premises intended for human occupancy and lying x~ithin <br />300 feet of the high water line of any of the bodies of water named <br /> <br /> <br />
