FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Administrative Services Manger Joyce Pruitt Hottinger <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 6:15 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Receipt of the 1998 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and <br />Presentation of the Management Report by the Firm of Malloy, Montague, <br />Karnowski, Radosevich & Co., P.A. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund stated that the City of Ramsey is required to undergo a certified audit, on <br />an annual basis, of all of its funds and account groups. This audit was performed by the firm of <br />Malloy, Montague, Karnowski, Radosevich & Co. P.A. Ms. Lund explained that the report, as it <br />appears this year, is similar in appearance to last year's report, with some changes and <br />improvements. Incorporated into the 1998 CAFR are changes that are consistent with <br />recommendations from the review for the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial <br />Reporting: (Certificate) and any reporting changes required by the Governmental Accounting <br />Standards Board (GASB). Finance Officer Lund stated that it is her belief that that this report is <br />again a good candidate for receipt of the Certificate and it is intended that the City submit the <br />1998 CAFR for review and consideration. She explained that the auditors, as part of their work, <br />prepare a Management Report for the City.
