FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Park/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos <br />Administrative Services Manager Joyce Pruitt Hottinger <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 5:35 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Hottinger requested that the Finance Committee review the <br />bids received for trash hauling and recycling services for the City and give Staff direction on an <br />acceptance of the low bid. <br /> <br />Park/Utilities Supervisor Boos suggested making the acceptance of the bid contingent upon <br />favorable response for special requests. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson questioned if there would be additional payment for special requests <br />to which Mr. Boos replied they are charged based on the situation. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained that the reason he requested the proposals is because the Hockey <br />Association approached the City a year ago about helping out with costs and, at that time, Ace <br />stated that they would offer free garbage service to the Hockey Arena if the City signed a <br />contract with them (Ace) for trash hauling and recycling services.
