Councilmember Woestehoff introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #24-010 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A VACATION OF ROAD RIGHTS-OF-WAY IN RAMSEY <br /> TOWN CENTER <br /> RECITALS <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Ramsey is requesting a vacation of various road rights-of-way <br /> adjacent to properties it owns platted within: <br /> Ramsey Town Center, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing pursuant to Section 106-260 (Easement Vacation) of the <br /> Ramsey City Code and Section 12.6 of the City Charter was held on January 23, 2024, and that <br /> said public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are <br /> available; <br /> WHEREAS, Lumen and Comcast provided notice that those companies have utilities in <br /> portions of the street rights-of-way; <br /> WHEREAS, the intent of the vacating of road rights-of-way will facilitate a replat and <br /> realignment of these roadways. <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> 1. That the easement vacation will not violate the intent and purpose of the Comprehensive <br /> Plan. <br /> 2. That the easement vacation is necessary to accomplish the City's intended purpose of <br /> roadway reconstruction and realignment. <br /> 3. That the City will work with the utility companies in the plans for reconstructing roadways. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby grants approval of vacating the road rights-of-way, <br /> as shown on Exhibits 1 and 2, contingent upon subsequently recording the plat of COR <br /> FIVE reestablishing new roadway rights-of-way. <br />
