PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Public Works Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 21, <br />1999, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Gerald Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly (Alternate) <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />City Administrator James Norman <br />Public Works Supervisor Grant Riemer <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos <br /> <br />CALLTO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Zimmerman called the regular meeting of the Public Works Committee to order at <br />5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Rob and Joyce Kalstabakken, 5571 Sunwood Drive Ramsey, stated that they were confused after <br />the last Council meeting as to what was going to happen with the sidewalk/trail on Sunwood <br />Drive. They explained that they would prefer not to have a trail, but if the City would decide in <br />the future to put a trail on Sunwood Drive they don't want to have to go through all of the <br />discussions again to get the trail on the south side of Sunwood Drive. <br /> <br />The Committee discussed in length the trail possibilities for the area. <br /> <br />Councilmember Connolly stated that she would like review the possibility of a trail being placed <br />on Sunwood Drive in a few years, if they were to decide not to do the trail with the Sunwood <br />Drive extension. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen suggested the possibility of a trail on the south side of Sunwood <br />Drive, but stopping the trail at Erkium Street and then turn the trail to the park. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen requested that the Park and Recreation Commission review the <br />possible options for a trail. <br /> <br />Public Works Committee/September 21, 1999 <br /> Page 1 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
