Weekly UPDATE <br />Administrator's Report <br />February 2, 2024 <br />Council Update <br />We're Hiring! <br />Parks Maintenance Worker - Full -Time <br />Salary: $27.18 - $32.62 Hourly <br />Closing Date: February 4, 2024, 11:59 pm <br />Primary Objective of Position: to provide general <br />maintenance of City -owned parks and trail systems. <br />Responsibilities include all aspects of parks maintenance, <br />construction of new facilities and the operation of <br />equipment while working in a variety of weather conditions. <br />This position will also involve snow plowing ofpublic <br />streets, trails and walks. <br />The Parks Maintenance Worker is required to be a <br />member of the on -call team and work a rotating on -call <br />schedule 6-7 weeks per year. Members of the on -call team <br />must reside within approximately 30 minutes from the <br />Public Works Facility (14199 Jasper Street NW) and to <br />be available to respond during evenings, weekends and <br />holidays. The position reports to the Parks Supervisor. <br />Benefits begin Day 1! Benefits include Vacation, Sick and <br />Holiday time off, Health, Dental, Life and Vision Insurance <br />and more! <br />This is an AFSCME union position and is subject D.O.T. <br />random drug and alcohol testing. <br />Rental Housing Inspector - Full -Time <br />Salary: $31.99 - $35.19 Hourly <br />Closing Date: February 11, 2024, 11:59 pm <br />Primary Objective of Position: to coordinate the City's <br />rental licensing program and to perform rental housing and <br />property maintenance enforcement activities. Residents may vote at City <br />Hall or the Anoka County Government Center, 2100 3rd <br />Avenue, Anoka —Elections Department. Voting hours are <br />Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm. <br />YOUR <br />[COTE <br />COUNTS <br />Ice Rinks Closed <br />We all knew it was coming, but <br />the ice rinks have been closed for the <br />season due to unseasonably warm <br />temperatures. We had 800 people <br />come out and skate when they were <br />open. Thanks for coming out. <br />PARKS AND RECREATION <br />Frost Fest Canceled <br />Another casualty of the warm temperatures is Frost Fest. <br />Unfortunately this event has been canceled and will not <br />occur Saturday, February 10.
