CHAPTER 9 COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey Chapter 9 Committee conducted a work session on Tuesday, January 31, 2002, at <br />the Ramsey Fire Station Number II, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Mayor Tom Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Planning Commission Chairperson Michael Nixt <br />Planning Commission Member Kathleen Sweet <br />Planning Commission Eric Watson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Also Present: <br />Principal Planner Patrick Trudgeon <br />Community Development Assistant Megan Wald <br />Hoisington Koegler Consultant Loren Gordon <br />Mayor Gamec called the Chapter 9 Committee to order at 6:42 p.m. <br />DISCUSSION <br />1) Review Administration Section <br />Loren Gordon, Hoisington Koegler Consultant, explained that he and staff had reviewed the <br />Administration section and updated the wording to be consistent with current procedures. Some <br />state statutes were added in the section, but no policy changes were made. <br />Councilmember Anderson question if the word "literal" in Section 9.03.01 Zoning Administrator <br />was the correct word to be using. She also questioned as to how long the City maintains zoning <br />applications as permanent files. <br />Community Development Assistant Wald replied that everything is kept in the property file even if <br />a request is withdrawn, and as far as she knows nothing has ever been removed from permanent <br />record. <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that their have been instances in the past where the City has <br />been advised to file officials copies of certain documents at the County and inquired if the City <br />would be filing the adopted Comprehensive Plan with the County as an official record. <br />Chapter 9 Committee/January 31, 2002 <br />Page 1 of 11 <br />
