Weekly UPDATE <br />Administrator's Report <br />Council Update <br />We're Hiring! <br />May 17, 2024 <br />Seasonal Maintenance Worker - Temporary -Full -Time <br />Salary: $16.00 Per Hourly <br />Closing Date: Open Until Filed <br />Primary Objective of Position: is to assist City staff <br />with the general upkeep of park grounds, streets, trails, <br />buildings and related facilities and equipment. Job duties <br />include mowing and trimming, pruning and planting trees, <br />landscape projects, maintaining athletic fields, picking up <br />trash and streets and utility maintenance. <br />These are temporary, non -union positions working up to <br />forty (40) hours per week, Monday through Friday from <br />7:30 am to 3:30 pm. These positions start in May and June <br />and run through the Fall months, depending on availability, <br />workload and rules of Minnesota Public Employment <br />Labor Relations (PELRA). There is no guarantee of <br />further employment after the season has concluded. All <br />candidates must be at least 17 years of age or older by June <br />15, 2024, and have a valid Minnesota driver's license in good <br />standing. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour. Interviews will <br />be offered shortly after applications are submitted through <br />our employment portal, so apply immediately if you are <br />interested. <br />Streets Maintenance Workers (2 Openings) <br />Salary: $27.18 - $29.90 Hourly <br />Closing Date: June 2, 2024, 11:59 pm <br />The primary objectives of this position: is to provide <br />general maintenance of public streets, right-of-ways, storm <br />sewer systems, parking lots and any other municipal facilities <br />or equipment; as well as snow plowing of public streets, <br />trails and walks <br />The Streets Maintenance Worker is required to be a <br />member of the on -call team and work a rotating on -call <br />schedule 7-8 weeks per year, following their 6-months of <br />probation. Members of the on -call team must reside within <br />approximately 30 minutes from the Public Works Facility <br />(14199 Jasper Street NW) and be available to respond <br />during evenings, weekends and holidays. The position <br />reports to the Streets Supervisor. <br />The 2024 hiring range is $27.184 to $29.903 per hour, <br />depending on qualifications.
