Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-01-013 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE <br />INCREASE IN ANNUAL SALARY FOR <br />DONALD JOHNSON <br /> <br />PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL AND <br />SENIOR ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Donald Johnson began employment at the City of Ramsey on November 14, <br />1990 as Senior Engineering Technician in the Engineering Deparmaent in salary grade 3.5 with an <br />annual salary of $22,642; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as stated in the AFSCME contract, of which Mr. Johnson is a member, each <br />employee who successfully completes probation and receives a satisfactory performance evaluation <br />shall be placed at not less than the applicable range minimum at the completion of 2,080 <br />compensated hours, exclusive of overtime; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson completed 2,080 compensated hours, exclusive of overtime, <br />on November 14, 1991; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski, Mr. Johnson's immediate supervisor, has <br />given a satisfactory employee performance appraisal for Mr. Johnson and recommended that his <br />annual salary increase to $26,291, the one-year rate of salary grade 3.5; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Administrator Ryan Schroeder agreed with the performance appraisal <br />for Mr. Johnson and the recommendation of Mr. Jankowski; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at their January 11, 1992 meeting, accepted the <br />performance appraisal completed by staff and the recommendation that Mr. Johnson's annual <br />salary increase to $26,291 in salary grade 3.5 effective November 14, 1991 per the terms of the <br />AFSCME bargaining unit contract; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, at their January 14, 1992 meeting, confirmed the <br />recommendations of the Personnel Committee to accept the performance evaluation for Senior <br />Engineering Technician Donald Johnson in salary grade 3.5 and increase his annual salary to <br />$26,291 effective November 14, 1991. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confn-ms the recommendation of the Personnel <br />Committee to accept the performance appraisal completed by staff and increase Mr. <br />Johnson's annual salary to $26,291 in salary grade 3.5 effective November 14, 1991 per <br />the terms of the AFSCME bargaining unit contract. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
