Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-01-017 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING LINDA CAZETT AND VIOLET MCMAHON <br />TO THE NORTH SUBURBAN CONSUMER ADVOCATES FOR THE <br />HANDICAPPED, INC. (NSCAH) ORGANIZATION FOR CALENDAR <br />YEAR 1992 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, North Suburban Consumer Advocates for the Handicapped, Inc. <br />(NSCAH) is an organization of persons with physical or mental disabilities, relatives and <br />concerned citizens. Its main purpose is to identify and study issues facing the disabled, <br />such as architectural and attitudinal barriers. It advocates social and environmental changes <br />and tries to obtain community support for implementing these changes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has, in the past, appointed a liaison to represent <br />the City on NSCAH and paid for membership dues; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City advertised for a representative to NSCAH in the December <br />Ramsey Resident newsletter and received applications from Linda Cazett and Violet <br />McMahon. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby appoints Linda Cazett and Violet McMahon as <br />Ramsey's representatives on NSCAH for calendar year 1992. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the membership dues of $24 ($12 each) will be funded through 101-4345- <br />001130 which directs the charges to General Fund, Administration, Services and <br />Charges, Dues, Memberships and Subscriptions. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Hardin and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
