I I I I i$ I I I I I I Io Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoptiom RESOLUTION g93-02-017 RESOLUTION PETITIONING THE COUNTY OF ANOKA TO CONDUCT THE ENGINEERING STUDIES TO DETERMINE NEED FOR RIGHT TURN LANE AT COUNTY ROAD #57 AND U.S. HIGHWAY #10 WHEREAS, it would appear that a considerable number of southbound County Road #57 vehicles make a fight turn westbound onto U.S. Highway #10; and WHEREAS, this is a signalized intersection, and a dedicated right turn lane and island similar to that which currently exists on the southeastern corner of the intersection, could reduce the delay ~ and greatly improve the ease of this maneuver. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSl~Y, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That City Council hereby petitions the County of Anoka to conduct the necessary engin4eriag studies to determine the degree of need for said fight turn lane and to prepare estimates determining the feasibility of the necessary land acquisition and construction and to ac[vise the City of the results hereof. 2) That :a~copy of this resolution be forwarded to the County Engineer. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hardin and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayo~ Gilbertson Cou~member Peterson Counajlmember Hardin Coun~m~mber Beyer Coundlmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: Non© and the following .were absent: None whereupon satd resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day o~February, 1993. /~l~yor ' - ATTEST:
