I I I I ,I I I i I I I I I I 10 I I Councilme .'~r Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #93-02-025 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING USE OF 1993 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS Wl-]EREAS, Anoka County is responsible for the allocation and timely expenditure of Community~ Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from Anoka Counfy; and W~ERIEAS, the City of Ramsey has a 1993 CDBG allocation in the amount of $30,407.00.t~3r CDBG projects; and wltE..REAS, eligible activities for CDBG funds include projects that have been determined iq benefit low and moderate income persons, handicapped persons, senior citizens or to rehabilitate m~eas of slum and blight; and w~REAs, the Ramsey City Council conducted a public heating on Tuesday, January 26, 1993 reg~diIlg the use of 1993 CDBG allocations. NOW TItEREF.'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAM~Y,~'ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That Ihe City of Ramsey hereby applies to Anoka County for 1993 Community Dev~ .l~pment Block Grant allocations to be used as follows: ProjeCt Amount Land Use.Plan Update $11,485.00 Anoka COilnty Community Action Program (ACCAP) $17,922.00 ~ (New Construction/Gorham's Sandy Acres) 2) That a copy of this resolution, the public hearing notice and the preliminary project appliet~tionrequest form be forwarded to the Anoka County CDBG Administrator. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Peterson anti tlpofi vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: MayOr James Gilbertson Couneilmember Kenneth Peterson Cout~cilmCmber Sheila Beyer Coune!lm~mber Glen Hardin Coune!lmember Gerald Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None
