Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION g94-02-021 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING USE OF 1994 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County is responsible for the allocation and timely expenditure of <br />Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from <br />Anoka County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has a 1994 CDBG allocation in the amount of <br />$33,859.00 for CDBG projects; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, eligible activities for CDBG funds include projects that have been <br />determined to benefit low and moderate income persons, handicapped persons, senior citizens, to <br />rehabilitate areas of slum and blight, and for planning purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Rarnsey City Council conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, January <br />25, 1994, regarding the use of 1994 allocations. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That .the City of Ramsey hereby applies to Anoka County for 1994 Community <br /> Development Block Grant allocations to be used as follows: <br /> <br />Pro) ect Amount <br /> <br />Community Emergency Action Program <br />ARC of Anoka County <br />Alexendra House <br />Rise, Inc. <br />Meals on Wheels <br />ACCAP Senior Outreach <br />Storm Water Planning <br /> <br />$ 2,000 <br />$ 1,000 <br />$ 3,000 <br />$ 2,000 <br />$ 2,000 <br />$ 3,000 <br />$20,000 <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That a copy of this resolution, the public hearing notice and the preliminary project <br />application request form be forwarded to the Anoka County CDBG Administrator. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Peterson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilrnember Hardin <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br /> <br />
