Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION g94-02-021 RESOLUTION DESIGNATING USE OF 1994 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS WHEREAS, Anoka County is responsible for the allocation and timely expenditure of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from Anoka County; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has a 1994 CDBG allocation in the amount of $33,859.00 for CDBG projects; and WHEREAS, eligible activities for CDBG funds include projects that have been determined to benefit low and moderate income persons, handicapped persons, senior citizens, to rehabilitate areas of slum and blight, and for planning purposes; and WHEREAS, the Rarnsey City Council conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, January 25, 1994, regarding the use of 1994 allocations. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That .the City of Ramsey hereby applies to Anoka County for 1994 Community Development Block Grant allocations to be used as follows: Pro) ect Amount Community Emergency Action Program ARC of Anoka County Alexendra House Rise, Inc. Meals on Wheels ACCAP Senior Outreach Storm Water Planning $ 2,000 $ 1,000 $ 3,000 $ 2,000 $ 2,000 $ 3,000 $20,000 2) That a copy of this resolution, the public hearing notice and the preliminary project application request form be forwarded to the Anoka County CDBG Administrator. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Peterson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilrnember Hardin Councilmember Peterson and the following voted against the same: Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Zimmerman
