Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #95-01-018 RESOLUTION DIRECTING CITY STAFF TO WORK WITH THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ON REGIONAL PLANNING ISSUES WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council Community Development Committee met on January 9, 1995, to consider a major comprehensive plan amendment submitted by the City of Ramsey on October 21, 1993; and WHEREAS, said Committee recommended approval of the plan amendment and adoption of the Metropolitan Council Staff report and findings; and WHEREAS, said findings included recommendations for additional Ramsey City Council action. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That within nine months of notification of final Metropolitan Council action on the plan amendment, the City intends to approve a plan by ordinance incorporating past installation inspection and maintenance of on-site septic systems pursuant to the Metropolitan Council's Policy Plan. 2) That pursuant to Metropolitan Waste Control Commission letter of March 23, 1994, the City will endeavor to update its Tier II Comprehensive Sewer Plan. 3) That City Staff is directed to negotiate with the Metropolitan Council on acceptable housing agreement designed to implement the regional policies providing for life-cycle and affordable housing within the community or cluster of communities. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hardin Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Beahen Cou ncilmember Peterson and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None
