Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #95-01-018 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DIRECTING CITY STAFF TO WORK WITH THE <br />METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ON REGIONAL PLANNING ISSUES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council Community Development Committee met on <br />January 9, 1995, to consider a major comprehensive plan amendment submitted by the City of <br />Ramsey on October 21, 1993; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said Committee recommended approval of the plan amendment and <br />adoption of the Metropolitan Council Staff report and findings; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said findings included recommendations for additional Ramsey City <br />Council action. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That within nine months of notification of final Metropolitan Council action on the plan <br />amendment, the City intends to approve a plan by ordinance incorporating past installation <br />inspection and maintenance of on-site septic systems pursuant to the Metropolitan <br />Council's Policy Plan. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That pursuant to Metropolitan Waste Control Commission letter of March 23, 1994, the <br />City will endeavor to update its Tier II Comprehensive Sewer Plan. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That City Staff is directed to negotiate with the Metropolitan Council on acceptable housing <br />agreement designed to implement the regional policies providing for life-cycle and <br />affordable housing within the community or cluster of communities. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Cou ncilmember Peterson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
