Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-01-004 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />#97-26 (CENTRAL PARK WELL REDEVELOPMENT) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Central Park irrigation well has been inspected and found to need <br />repair; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the well must be functional to accommodate the Spring 1998 irrigation <br />needs of Central Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for <br />the Central Park well redevelopment and has presented such contract documents and <br />specifications to the Council for approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper <br />and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The adver- <br />tisement shall be published for 10 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that <br />bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26, <br />1998, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center by the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will <br />then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on <br />Tuesday, January 27, 1998 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is <br />questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the <br />Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed <br />with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond <br />or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of <br />such bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beahen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen <br /> <br /> <br />
