CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, May 23,2006, at the Ramsey Fire Station Number 1, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. Norman Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson Fire Chief Dean Kapler Public Works Director Brian Olson Finance Officer Diana Lund Associate Planner Breanne DaInes City Attorney William Goodrich Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:05 p.m. APPROVE AGENDA The agenda was approved as submitted. COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION 1) Update on FFE (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) Package for New Municipal Center Assistant City Administrator Nelson reviewed that at the May 2, 2006, work session there was discussion of the buy-back proposal for the existing systems furniture and a quote to repaint existing Herman Miller files. During the work session discussion, Council requested further analysis of the re-use of all the existing systems furniture. Staff and Intereum representatives have completed a rough estimate of the costs of re-using all of the existing Herman Miller systems furniture. Ms. Nelson provided an overview of the analysis of the costs associated with re-using the existing systems furniture at City Hall and the Police Department. She explained several assumptions were made in the analysis; they include: the panel fabric would be replaced, City Council Work Session / May 23, 2006 Page 1 of6
