<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, May 23,2006, at <br />the Ramsey Fire Station Number 1, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember Al Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Associate Planner Breanne DaInes <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:05 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Update on FFE (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) Package for New Municipal <br />Center <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson reviewed that at the May 2, 2006, work session there was <br />discussion of the buy-back proposal for the existing systems furniture and a quote to repaint <br />existing Herman Miller files. During the work session discussion, Council requested further <br />analysis of the re-use of all the existing systems furniture. Staff and Intereum representatives <br />have completed a rough estimate of the costs of re-using all of the existing Herman Miller <br />systems furniture. Ms. Nelson provided an overview of the analysis of the costs associated with <br />re-using the existing systems furniture at City Hall and the Police Department. She explained <br />several assumptions were made in the analysis; they include: the panel fabric would be replaced, <br /> <br />City Council Work Session / May 23, 2006 <br />Page 1 of6 <br />
