City UPDATE
Administrator's Report
Council Update
April 25, 2025
City Council Highlights - April 8
Presentation
This regular City Council meeting began with a
swearing -in and pinning ceremony for Police Sergeant Jake
Hinnenkamp.
Consent Agenda
Following the presentations, the City Council
unanimously passed 14 Consent Agenda items.
Council Busineess
Council Business included two cases.
The first was to Adopt Resolution #25-071 Accepting
Bids and Awarding Contract for High Point Street
Reconstruction, Improvement Project #25-05. The streets
within High Point were constructed in 1979, and the
streets within Section 22 Unplatted were constructed in
1989. All street segments received an overlay in 2001 and,
subsequently, two crack seal/seal coat treatments in 2007
and 2014. Significant patching has occurred over the last
several years. The street's total is approximately 1.67 miles
in length. Council approved the resolution and awarded
the contract to North Valley, Inc. Construction will begin
this spring with substantial completion by August 30.
The final case was to Introduce Ordinance #25-07:
Sign Code Update. The ordinance repeals a portion
of City Code Chapter 117 and a portion of the COR
Framework and the concurrent establishment of Ramsey
City Code Chapter 108 as part of the Sign Code Update.
The proposed changes will update terms and conditions,
add tables for bulk standards of common sign types in
each zoning district, as well as condense and simplify
performance standards. The changes will create an
improved Sign Code that is easier to read and understand
for property owners, businesses and staff. The Council
approved introducing the ordinance, it will come back for a
second reading at a future meeting.
To see the entire agenda of this meeting, please visit
https://weblink.cityoframsey.com/weblink/Browse.
aspx ?dbid=0&startid=674764.
To watch the City Council meeting on QCTV for more
details, please visit htto://qctv.org/meeting category/
ramsey/ramsey-city-council-meetings/.
fa!
Watch stories from Ramsey
Tv on QCTV's YouTube channel!
Scan the QR Code or visit
www.YouTube.com/QCTV
Never miss a story —subscribe today!
Get ready for the 16th Annual Ramsey
Business Expo!
Join us on Saturday, May 3, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00
p.m. at Adrenaline Sports
Center, 8310 147th
Lane NW, Ramsey, for
a fun, free family event.
Enjoy food trucks,
games, giveaways, Bingo,
samples, balloon art, face painting by A Touch of Magic
Entertainment and more.
