STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS

Over the past year, subtle changes have marked
the many accomplishments of the City of Ramsey.
Most of the news articles that we read about Ramsey
have been positive rather than negative.
Growth has taken place in our community without
sacrificing the rural lifestyles and values which we
take pride in and we have continued to develop
parks, a volunteer fire department, and new
transportation systems.
Anyone of these events is worth talking about or
maybe even celebrating. As we look toward 1989
and 1990, I would like to emphasize the continuing
need to be a team and to work together on the part
of our City Council, boards and commissions, citizen
groups, and the public at large. I believe that it is
this teamwork that can and will make Ramsey a tru-
ly great place to live and work. I also believe that
we need to find reasons to celebrate our ac-
complishments as a team. This year my challenge
to the citizens of Ramsey is to find a team of which
you can be a member and support that team. By do-
ing so you will make a difference in Ramsey. Here
is only a partial list of some teams that you may want
to join:

Lions
Jaycees
Volunteer fire department
School organizations:
PTA
Teen Advisory Board
Advisory Council
Key Communicator Program
ANNUAL SPRING
PET VACCINATION CLINIC

The City of Ramsey will be sponsoring its annual
spring pet vaccination clinic on Saturday, April 29,
1989 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Vaccinations will
be given by Dr. David Gilgenbach of the Elk River
Veterinary Clinic and will be administered in the
lower level fire barn of the Ramsey Municipal Center,
15153 Nowthen Blvd. NW. The following shots will
be offered:

Rabies (canine and feline) $ 4.75
DHLP and Parvovirus combined
(canine) $11.00
Pan RC-C-P (feline) $ 5.75
City Ordinance requires that all dogs be vaccinated
against rabies and licensed. City personnel will be
available to issue dog licenses and identification tags
at the clinic. If your dog has been vaccinated recently
but you do not have a current license, this is your
chance to purchase a dog license without having to
come to City Hall during regular business hours (you
must bring in the current rabies vaccination cer-
tificate). The license fee is $3.00 for males and
spayed females and $5.00 for unspayed females.
Dogs must be licensed when they reach six months
of age. The license is valid for two years to coincide
with the rabies vaccination. The City does not require
the licensing of cats.
ALL ANIMALS MUST BE LEASHED WHEN
BROUGHT TO THE CLINIC.
YOU ARE URGED TO PROTECT YOUR PET,
YOURSELF, AND YOUR COMMUNITY BY PAR-
TICIPATING IN THE PET VACCINATION CLINIC.
