<br /> <br />NOTICE TO RAMSEY RESIDENTS _ _ _ <br /> <br />The Ramsey Police Department <br />provides a service that is free to the <br />public. It is called Operation <br />Identification. This is a program <br />whereby residents mark their <br />property with a special number. This <br />number is used to help the police <br />trace the property if stolen and. also <br />serves notice to the would-be burglar <br />that your property is marked and is <br />solid evidence against him if found in <br />his possession. There are a few <br /> <br />PERMIT <br /> <br />REGULATIONS <br /> <br />With Spring just around the <br />c~rner, m3.?Y of you residents may <br />WIsh to buIld an accessory building <br />for the storage of your accumulated <br />"Toys" and necessary equipment <br />(lawn mowers, boats, snowmobiles, <br />etc.). There is a building permit <br />,required prior to your starting any <br />construction. <br />Ramsey does have an ordinance <br />regulating the size of your accessory <br />building and the placement of the <br />same building. <br />If you have any questions <br />regardi~g this ordinance, please do <br />not hesItate to call the city hall. <br /> <br />BURNING PERMITS <br /> <br />Effective March 1, 1981 burning <br />permits are to be obtained from <br />City Hall between the hours of 8:30 <br />a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or from Mike <br />Haller, 17040 Azurite Street N.W. <br />753-4040. ' <br /> <br />private companies that are active in <br />this field but they charge a fee for <br />this service and are not able to enter <br />their numbers in to the police <br />computers. This service is absolutely <br />free and available to any Ramsey <br />resident by stopping by the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center at 15153 Nowthen <br />Blvd. and ask to be enrolled in' <br />Operation Identification. For more <br />information call 427-1410. <br /> <br />"Rescuci-Baby" <br />Donated <br /> <br />On February 3rd the Police <br />Department was presented with a <br />"Rescuci-Baby" mannequin donated <br />to the city of Ramsey Police by the <br />Ramsey Jaycee Women. The <br />mannequin, which is the infant <br />counterpart of the "Rescuci-Annie" <br />adult, is used for hands-on training <br />for Cardiopulmonary Rescucitation <br />courses taught by Officer Anderson <br />of the Ramsey Police. With the <br />acquisition of the infant training aid <br />to the Police, through Community <br />School classes and through the police <br />department independently, can now <br />offer the Basic Cardiac Life Support <br />course. It is a joint venture <br />between Anoka-Hennepin School <br />District 11 and the City of Ramsey <br />for the Citizens of Ramsey. <br /> <br />NOTICE <br /> <br />The Ramsey Youth Athletic <br />Association (RYAA) meets'on <br />the third MO,nday of each <br />month, 7:00 p.m., at the <br />Ramsey Elementary School. <br />All interested citizens of . <br />Ramsey are invited to attend. <br /> <br />During this past month the <br />RY AA ordered the equipment <br />needed for the Summer <br />baseball and softball <br />programs. <br /> <br />Plan now to spend two <br />evenings a week with your <br />son's or daughter's team. We <br />always need coaches. If you <br />don't have that much time to <br />donate we need scorekeepers <br />and umpires. It is a good <br />program and the games are <br />twice as much fun with a good <br />crowd behind the kids. . <br />
