Walker. Filing for two council seats open (4 year <br />term) Robert Cushman, David Mickelson, Robert <br />Muller, Beverly Oliphant, Eric Olson and Tim Rootes. <br />REGISTRATION - Voter registration closes on <br />October 12, 1976, but you may register on election day <br />at the polls with one of the following pieces of <br />identification. <br />1. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />A valid Minnesota Drivers License or <br />receipt therefor. <br />A non-qualification certificate issued by <br />the Department of Public Safety or <br />receipt therefor. <br />A registered voter from the precinct to <br />confirm your residence. <br />Notice from the registration office of an <br />insufficient registration. <br />A current registration in the same <br />precinct indicating a previous address: <br /> <br />3. <br />4. <br />5. <br /> <br />Remember, voting does not take place at City <br />Hall. The City is now divided into two precincts. l\Jo. 1 <br />is at Lord of Life Lutheran Church and No. 2 is at <br />Ramsey Elementary School. Refer to the map for <br />directions or call City Hall if you have a question. <br />Other points to note: If you spoil your ballot, if <br />you tear, soil or erroneously mark a ballot, you may <br />return it to the election judges and you will be given <br />another ballot. Persons who are blind, disabled, or <br />otherwise unable to mark their ballots may request <br />assistance of another voter or of two election judges of <br />different political parties. No one who assists a voter <br />may disclose how that voter voted. <br />In a general election, you may cross party lines <br />on the ballot when voting on partisan tIckets. <br />There will be one amendment to the state <br />constitution proposed at the 1976 general election, Any <br />voter at the election who does not vote on the <br />amendment is in effect voting "no". The proposed <br />amendment is "Highway Bonds and the Use of Motor <br />Fuel Taxes". <br />YES "Shall Article XIV of the Constitution <br />of the State of Minnesota be amended to <br />permit proceeds resulting from any <br />increases in motor fuel taxes to be used <br />for general purposes NO <br />bonds?" <br />The City of Ramsey uses the paper ballot system <br />of voting. <br />For further election information, contact your <br />county auditor or city clerk. <br />
