We sincerely hope that it will be informative about the community education program and the City of Ramsey. All fire calls are billed to the residence where the fire is located. Everyone should check their insurance policies to ascertain if they have a rider to cover the cost of $150.00 per hour, or at least $500.00. Since we do not have our own fire department, everyone should be fire-protection minded; smoke detectors - fire extinguishers - water hoses available and fire drills should be a part of your life. --~ ABOUT THE COUNCil The City Council of the City of Ramsey is made up of a mayor and four council persons. The mayor's term of office is for two years and the council persons are elected for four years staggered terms. The elections are conducted on even years. The next election is this year, 1976. Two council positions and the mayor will be up for election. . . The Mayor and Council conduct a very open meeting and invite citizen input on each agenda. The agendas of the meetings are Ptinted in the Anoka County Union newspaper the Friday before each meeting.
