The Tree Sale is a convenient
way to obtain trees and plants suitable for Ramsey's soils and
conditions. The Tree Sale provides a variety of trees at good values
and planting trees in our City enhances the quality of life for all!

In 1989 the City added an Environmental Exposition to this day's
activity. The Environmental Expo is a local fun event intended to
provide an information exchange between environmentally oriented
businesses, agencies and residents. This year, both the Tree Sale and
the Expo will be held at the Ramsey Municipal Center. Having both
events at the same location will make it easier and more productive for
families to participate. For instance, one family member may peruse the
offerings at the Tree Sale and the rest might partake in the
demonstrational plantings or the education afforded by certain Expo
exhibitors.

Continued on page 4

RAMSEY CLEAN-UP DAY

In conjunction with the Keep America Beautiful Program, Waste
Management of Minnesota and the City of Ramsey will again join forces
to sponsor Ramsey Clean-up Day on Saturday, May 2, 1992 from 7:00
a.m. to 1 :00 p.m. In an effort to improve the scope and efficiency of the
program, the procedure for participation to have material accepted this
year will vary somewhat from that of previous years.

Basic permits will be available on Saturday, April 25, 1992 at the
annual Arbor Day celebration and at the Ramsey Municipal Center on
Friday, May 1, 1992 between 8:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Permits will also
be available at the landfill on Clean-up Day, Saturday, May 2,1992 from
7:00 a.m. until 1 :00 p.m. for a $5.00 charge excluding any additional fees
for appliances and tires.
