HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS
WASTE COLLECTION DAY
SET FOR JULY 25, 1992

The County of Anoka has scheduled a Household
Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, July
25, 1992 at the Anoka County Fairgrounds from 9:00
a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Residents planning to bring
materials to the drop-off site should try to have the
materials (paint, pesticides, herbicides, oil, antifreeze,
varnishes, paint thinners and cleaners) in the original
containers if possible. Please don't mix the materials
as this may cause serious problems for you and the
volunteers. If the label is loose or removed from the
container, reattach it or write the type of material on
the container (Le., drain cleaner). If you don't know
the contents, do not write anything on the container.

Residents with materials to drop off at the site
should use the south entrance to the Fairgrounds on
State Highway #47. Residents should plan ahead,
as lines may be long since this is the first Household
Hazardous Waste Collection Day held since May,
1988.

If you are interested in volunteering to work at the
collection site, please contact either Jim Gromberg,
Ramsey Project Manager, at 427-1410 or Carolyn
Smith, Anoka County Solid Waste Abatement
Specialist, at 421-4760, ext.1701.
