"With 79% of all new jobs being provided by small businesses, it is very important that
the local community support and patronize local businesses" states David Kent, co-
'-"jirperson for the 1992 Discover Ramsey Business EXPO. Small businesses are the
'-:Olood of local economies, as every dollar that is spent is money that helps provide jobs
and creates additional advantages to the community. That is why the City sponsors the
Business EXPO and encourages all residents to attend and meet their local businesspeople.
This year's EXPO will be held on Sunday, October 11, 1992 from 11 :00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
at the Ramsey Elementary School. Admission is free, but a donation for the local food shelves
is requested. The best of the last four years will be retained and many new ideas will be
added, including on-site food sales, entertainment and events for every member of the family.
Planning big events such as the Business EXPO requires many people working together
and dedicating time to make the day a success. The EXPO Committee is looking for
volunteers to help with all aspects of planning, publicizing, setup and cleanup of the EXPO.
Interested persons should contact David Kent at 332-9348 or Jim Gromberg at 427 -1410. If
you would like to have a booth at the EXPO, you may also contact either David or Jim.
Participation is open to all businesses and residents.
With your help and attendance, the Fifth Annual Business EXPO will be the best ever.
