"With 79% of all new jobs being provided by small businesses, it is very <br />Important that the local community support and patronize local businesses," <br />states David Kent, co-chair for the 1993 Discover Ramsey Business EXPO. <br />Small businesses are the lifeblood of local economies, as every dollar spent is <br />(rn()~ey ~hat help~ provide jo~s and creates additional advantages to the <br />Jnunlty. That IS why the City of Ramsey sponsors the Business EXPO and <br />encourages all residents to attend and meet their local businesspeople. <br />This year's EXPO will be held on Sunday, October 17, 1993 from 11 :00 a.m. to <br />4:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Elementary School, 15000 Nowthen Boulevard NW. <br />Admission is free, but a donation for the local food shelves is requested. The best <br />of th.e last four years will ?e retained and many new ideas will be added, including <br />on-site food sales, entertainment and events for every member of the family. <br />Planning big events such as the Business EXPO requires many people <br />working together and dedicating time to make the day a success. The EXPO <br />Committee is looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of planning, <br />publicizing, setup and cleanup of the EXPO. Interested persons should contact <br />co-chair David Kent at 332-9348 or Project Manager Jim Gromberg at 427-1410. <br />If you would like to have a booth at the EXPO, you may also contact either David <br />or Jim. Jackie's last <br />position was with Metropolitan Federal Bank in Plymouth where <br />she was a Financial Services Representative. She has also held <br />the position of Clerk Teller with Metropolitan Federal Bank. Jackie <br />has a Bachelor of Science degree from Moorhead State University <br />in International Business and is a resident of Ramsey. <br />The position was vacant because of the promotion of <br />Receptionist Joanne Kusler to the position of part-time Secretary <br />in Administrative Services.
