It will be located east of the corner of McKinley Street Northwest and Unity Street Northwest. "The City of Ramsey has made and continues to make an effort to support and allow for the growth of small businesses," stated Mayor Glen Hardin. "This dedication to small busi- nesses is not only due to the positive relationships that are developed, but to the fact that small businesses currently and in the future will provide the vast major- ity of new jobs." Barkela Manufacturing is a family owned job shop, established in 1990, that does CNC milling, turning, grinding, automatic sawing and simple spindle automatic work. The new facility will allow the company to move its operations from a rental property in the City of Osseo. The location and design of the build- ing in Ramsey will accommodate projected growth ofBarkela and future expan- sion of operations. "The City and Sharp Construction had an attitude that we were important to them and that their goals were the same as ours," stated Vern Barkela, owner of Barkela Manufacturing. "This attitude helped me in making the decision to continue to grow my business in the City of Ramsey." Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or have proper written consent. Public immunizations are also offered at several WIC Clinic locations and at the Anoka Hennepin #11 Learning Center. Please call the Immunization Hotline at 323-6100 for information on specific times and locations. REMEMBER TO VOTE ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 1996 The 1996 General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 1996. If you do not know which precinct is yours, you may call 427-1410. Election day is very busy, so it is helpful if you can call before then. First time voters should be aware that they can register at the polls. Please remember to bring iden- tification that includes your picture and current address. An alternative is to have a neighbor who lives in the same precinct and is a registered voter accompany you and vouch for your identity. CITY OFFICES WILL BE CLOSED: on Monday, November 11, 1996 in observance of VETERAN'S DAY; Thursday, November 28, 1996 in observance of THANKSGIVING; and December 24 and 25, 1996 in observance of the HOLIDAYS.
