It will be <br />::: held on Saturday, June 1st, from 3:30 - 9:00 p.m. The <br />: Community Picnic will have the Fun Walk/Run Mile in <br />: Central Park as in past years, but also a new and exciting <br />::: 4 Mile Country Walk/Run that will benefit the Ramsey <br />::: playground. <br />:: The 4-Mile Country Walk/Run will take place on <br />J June 1 at 2:00 p.m. All interested walkers/runners will <br />:: start at Ramsey Elementary School and finish 4 miles <br />:' later at Central Park. There will be a police escort and <br />:: water stops along the route. Participants will receive <br />: computerized results at the finish line, provided by <br />:: Apple Raceberry Jam. A shuttle bus will be available <br />::: from 2: 15 to 4:00 p.m. to return participants back to <br />:~: Ramsey Elementary School, or participants can stay and <br />: take part in the Community Picnic and Business Expo. <br />J All profits from this walk/race will be donated <br />: toward Ramsey Elementary School playground. Basically, this language means that there is no limit <br />on the number of inoperable or junk vehicles that can be parked outside as long <br />as they have current license plates. With respect to commercial vehicles, the Code <br />states that nothing more than lone-ton commercial vehicle may be stored or <br />parked on a residential parcel. <br />For the past nine months, the Ramsey City Council and the Planning <br />Commission have been working on an ordinance to establish new regulations for <br />the parking and storing of private use and commercial use vehicles and equipment <br />The Planning Commission will be conducting a public hearing on Tuesday, June <br />4, 1996 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal Centerregarding the newly drafted <br />ordinance which reads as follows: <br />Section 9.11.10 (Off Street Parking) is hereby amended to include the <br />following language: <br /> <br />a. Currently licensed and operable motor vehicles, and one unlicensed and <br />operable motor vehicle, the primary purpose of which is for private <br />transportation or recreational use may be stored in the front yard if on a <br />driveway or in the side or rear yard provided they are parked on a .. <br />prepared surface that consists of either bituminous pavement, concrete, <br />con bit or prepared gravel. <br />b. Equipment, the primary purpose of which is for private or personal! <br />recreational use, may be parked/stored in the front yard if on a driveway <br />or in the side or rear yard. <br />c. .Commercial use motor vehicles and equipment may be parked/stored <br />outside for short-term periods when rendering a service such as loading <br />or unloading or on a routine or regular basis for long terms under the <br />following conditions: <br /> <br />1.
