Norman <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Strommen called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 5:31 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to approve the agenda as <br />submitted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Strommen, Councilmembers Elvig and Jeffrey. <br />Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Review and Adopt 2007 Tax Levy and General Fund Budget <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund reviewed that the 2007 proposed General Fund Budget, as it has been <br />presented and reviewed in the past several months, results in an estimated 39.94% tax capacity <br />rate. This budget was balanced through staff recommended adjustments, the budget as presented <br />is in the amount of $10,624,000. State Statutes require that the 2007 Levy and General Fund <br />Budgets must be adopted prior to December 28, 2006. Therefore, the 2007 Proposed Levy and <br />General Fund Budget are presented for adoption tonight. <br /> <br />Finance Committee I December 12, 2006 <br />Page 1 of5 <br />
