<br />Councilmember Strommen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-01-008 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING AUTHORIZATION TO RECRUIT A PART-TIME <br />POLICE TECHNICIAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Police Chief has expressed a need to hire an additional police <br />technician; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this position was approved as part of the 2007 budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has requested authorization to begin the recruitment process for a part- <br />time police techriician. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />I <br /> <br />1) Confirms the recommendation of the City Council to do the following: <br /> <br />Grant staff authorization to begin the recruitment process for a part-time police <br />technician. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Olson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Look <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br />
