ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Economic Development Commission conducted a regular meeting on Thursday, <br />January 8, 1998, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Ken Wagner <br />Commissioner Harlan Anderson <br />Commissioner David Kent <br />Commissioner Chris Riley <br />Commissioner Lydia Scheiber <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Carolyn nelson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Wagner called the regular meeting of the Economic Development Commission to <br />order at 6:45 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Election of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson for 1998 <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Wagner and seconded by Commissioner Anderson to elect David Kent <br />as Chairperson and Lydia Scheiber as Vice-Chairperson for the Economic Development <br />Commission for 1998. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Commissioners Anderson, Kent, Riley and <br />Scheiber. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Nelson. <br /> <br />Case #2: Focus of Commission <br /> <br />A discussion ensued among the Commission members and Mayor Gamec regarding the focus of <br />the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was that the function of the Commission has changed and the <br />EDC needs a clear new focus. <br /> <br /> <br />
