Jim Norman offered his comments.

Commission members asked Jim Norman what the anticipated reaction of Council
members may be to the idea of making the Economic Development Commission the
Economic Development Authority of Ramsey. Jim Norman gave a brief summary of
individual Council members to the idea, except for Sheila Beyer with whom had not
spoken about the issue. The primary obstacle for the EDC in their work session with the
City Council/EDA in September will be to convince the City Council that this change can
be structured so it does not erode the power and authority of the Council.

Sean Walther gave an update on the Business Appreciation Day golf tournament and
dinner planning.
