<br />Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-01-024 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO TEAM EARTHWORKS INC. <br />FOR PROJECT 06-33 THE EXCAVATION OF CONTAMINATED SOIL AT THE <br />FORMER ST PAUL TERMINAL PROPERTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council authorized the preparation of pfans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved the plans and specifications and the <br />advertisement for bids for the above-referenced work on September 26, 2006; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the excavation of contaminated <br />soil, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on November 8, 2006; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal Engineer Brian Olson has inspected the <br />completed work and recommends partial pay No 1 to Team Earthworks, Inc. in the amount of <br />$117,839.37;and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this project will be financed through a grant from the Minnesota Pollution <br />Control Agency in the amount of $295,000, and is also eligible for funding from TIF District No <br />2. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Team Earthworks, Inc. for <br />Improvement Project #06-33 in the amount of$117,839.37. <br /> <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the date of January 23,2007. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Olson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-01-024 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
