<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Mary 10 Olson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Also Present: Interim City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Management Intern Timothy Gladhill <br />, Dan DeBruyn and Mary Levee, PACT Charter School <br />Carol Stafford, Independent Luxury Homes <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:48 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) New Charter School Concept Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Dan DeBruyn, Administrator of PACT Charter School, and Mary Levee with the Special <br />Education Program at PACT Charter School, were present to provide the Council with <br />information regarding a new charter school concept for the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mr. DeBruyn thanked the Council for inviting PACT Charter School into the community. He <br />stated he is speaking as the administrator of PACT Charter School, and also as a Ramsey <br />resident and an advisor to the Interim Board for the potential second charter school in Ramsey - <br />Ramsey Central Academy. <br /> <br />Ms. Mary Levee stated she has been employed at PACT Charter School for the last ten years and <br />it is very positive. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session / May 22, 2007 <br />Page 1 of9 <br />
