<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY BOARD <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />On Monday, February 5, 2007, the Environmental Policy Board (EPB) met at Ramsey Municipal <br />Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive, Mississippi River Room, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Joe McDilda <br />Board Member Bob Bentz <br />Board Member John Freeburg <br />Board Member Michael Max <br />Board Member Jon Olds <br />Board Member Bob Sibilski <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Environmental Coordinator Chris Anderson <br />Mr. Bruce Bacon <br />Mr. Mark Anderson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda introduced and welcomed the new Environmental Policy Board (EPB) <br />member Mr. Mark Anderson, resident of Ramsey since 1991. <br /> <br />Mr. Mark Anderson stated he was interviewed and notified that he received the appointment to <br />fill the vacant seat on the EPB, but has not been sworn in yet by the City Council. He stated his <br />professional background is Community Development for the City of Minneapolis. <br /> <br />Mr. Bruce Bacon presented Chairperson McDilda with a book, Plan B 2.0 Rescuing a Planet <br />Under Stress and a Civilization in Trouble, by Lester B. Brown. Mr. Bacon asked Chairperson <br />McDilda to share it with other interested members of the EPB. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda recommended another book to EPB members, Cradle to Cradle, by <br />William McDonough and Michael Braungart, written on the topic of sustainability. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY BOARD MINUTES <br /> <br />Board Member Bentz noted a correction to the regular meeting minutes dated January 8, 2007, <br />Case #4, Page 13, Paragraph 3, last sentence, changing it to read, "He stated his neighborhood <br />property taxes have doubled over the last three years due to rising values, and neighbors are <br />unhappy about taxation." <br />
