Sylvia Frolik <br />Associate Planner Breanne DaInes <br />Environmental Coordinator Chris Anderson <br />Management Intern Timothy Gladhill <br />Police Chief James Way <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:39 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Illegal Signage within R.O.W. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson reviewed that Council has discussed the topic of illegal signage <br />within public right-of-way on a number of occasions. On May 16, 2006, staff was directed to <br />recommend an amendment to the sign ordinance to allow for progressive penalties for repeated <br />violations of placement of signs in the public right-of-way. On November 21,2006, the Public <br />Works Committee discussed the progressive penalty system. The Committee discussed the first <br />violation resulting in a phone call and the second violation involving a written notice. There was <br />a lot of discussion as to how to impose fees associated with repeated violations. The City <br /> <br />City Council Work Session / May 1,2007 <br />Page 1 of 16 <br />
