<br />FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 22,2007, at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Interim City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Management Intern Timothy Gladhill <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Strommen called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 5:35 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Look, to approve the agenda as <br />submitted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Chairperson Strommen, Councilmembers Elvig and Look. Voting <br />No: None, <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Fire Engine Bid Award <br /> <br />Fire Chief Kapler reviewed that on February 13, 2007, City Council accepted staffs <br />specifications and authorized soliciting bids for a new fire engine. Although bids were received, <br />staff recommended rejecting bids, altering specifications and re-bidding. Council approved that <br />action on April 24, 2007. Mr. Kapler stated bid proposals were received and opened on May 14, <br />2007 from two manufacturers, Custom Fire and GeneralIRosenbauer. Bids were in the amount <br />of $358,999 and $365,765 respectively. After a thorough review, staff has determined that both <br />bids meet the requirements set forth in the request for bids. Mr. Kapler reviewed the bid <br />amounts of Custom Fire Apparatus and General/Rosenbauer, including bid amounts, pre- <br /> <br />Finance Committee / May 22, 2007 <br />Page 1 of3 <br />
