PUBLIC ItEARING <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Board of Adjustment conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a request for a variance to construct an accessory structure nearer the front property line <br />than the principal structure; Case of Peter Mayer. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Benjamin Deemer <br />Board Member Paul Holland <br />Board Member Sharon Iensen <br />Board Member Chares LaDue <br />Board Member Michael Terry <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Board Member David Bawden <br />Board Member Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Deemer called the public heating to order at 7:06 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br />There was none. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that Mr. Peter Mayer has requested a variance to construct an <br />accessory structure closer to his front property line than the principal structure. <br /> <br />Mr. Peter Mayer stated that measuring fxom the center line of the roadway to where he was originally <br />going to place the structure would have been 73 feet. With the 100-foot setback, he would have had <br />to remove a mature stand of maple and linden trees. With a setback of 85 feet, he would be able to <br />keep most of the trees and fit the structure on the lot. <br /> <br /> <br />
