FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 26, 1997, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Tom Gamec <br />Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Natalie Haas Steffen <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos <br />Park and Recreation Commissioner Reid Droegemueller <br />Park and Recreation Commissioner Michael Rolfe <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Beahen called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 6:01 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Receive Five-Year Parks Capital Improvements Program <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos presented the Five-Year Capital Improvements Program on <br />which the Park and Recreation Commission held a public hearing and made their final <br />amendments at their August meeting. <br /> <br />Discussed were the improvements planned for the next five years, the advantages and <br />disadvantages of a community center on which Park and Recreation Commissioners <br />Droegemueller and Rolfe offered input, and the numbers of participants in RYAA sports. The <br />Youth First organization was talked about as well as some things for adults. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to approve the <br />1998 Parks CIP. (Included in the 1998 CIP is the following: Autumn Heights Recreation <br />District - four battery tennis court and associated improvements in Central Park [$63,000 from <br /> <br />Finance Committee/August 26, 1997 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
