PUBLIC HEARING <br />PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission conducted a public hearing on Thursday, August 14, <br />1997, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota to hear <br />input regarding the 1998-2002 Parks Capital Improvements Program (CIP) <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Todd Cook <br />Commissioner Jill Johns <br />Commissioner Reid Droegemueller <br />Commissioner Tom LaMere <br />Commissioner Steve Ostrum <br />Commissioner Mike Rolfe <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Asfahl <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Cook called the public hearing to order at 6:33 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />The Parks and Recreation Commission has reviewed projected budgetary amounts for the Five-Year <br />Capital Improvements Program over the past few months. Information was available for clarification <br />and public review purposes. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Boos noted a postcard received from Mr. Ron and Mrs. Lucinda Benson, 8221 161st Avenue, <br />Ramsey, MN 55303, on August 12, 1997. Following, is that stated on the postcard: 'Please approve <br />the installation of tennis courts at Central Park in Ramsey as there are no courts in West Ramsey. <br />Those in Northfork are for the residents that area only (or so their sign used to say). Thank you for <br />the great upkeep of Ramsey Parks.
