The Planning Commission
conducted a public hearing in January and recommended that City Council grant preliminary plat
approval to Pondview. At City Council's January 23 meeting, the request for preliminary plat
approval was tabled until the rezoning issue was resolved. At City Council's February 13
meeting, the developer submitted some design modifications to the plat which consisted of dead
ending 147th Avenue at the east boundary of the industrial parcel and extending Limonite Street
north in Peltzer Addition as a through street. Council, by a 3 to 2 vote, recommended that
Limonite go back to being a trail corridor and 147th Avenue be extended out to C.R. #56. After
lengthy discussion, the City Council directed that the revision to the preliminary plat be sent back
to the Planning Commission for additional hearings and review.

CITIZEN INPUT

Commissioner Deemer introduced a videotape of the City Council's February 13, 1996 meeting to
be attached to the record herein until such time as the minutes for that meeting are complete.

Jess Olson, 7000 149th Lane N.W. - stated he has children and he felt the trail corridor would
divert more traffic and be safer.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Holland to adjourn the public
hearing.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Holland, LaDue,
Terry, and Thorud.
