PUBLIC HEARING
PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF RAMSE¥
ANOKA COUNTY
STATE OF MINNESOTA

The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, April 2, 1996 at the
Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input
regarding a request for preliminary plat approval of Business Park 95 2nd Addition; case of City of
Ramsey.

Members Present:

Chairperson David Bawden
Commissioner Ben Deemer
Commissioner Paul Holland
Commissioner Sharon Jensen
Commissioner Charles LaDue
Commissioner Michael Terry
Commissioner Bradley Thorud

Also Present:

City Engineer Steven Jankowski
Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik

CALL TO ORDER

Chairperson Bawden called the public hearing to order at 7:35 p.m.

PRESENTATION

Zoning Administrator Frolik reported that the City of Ramsey is in the process of final platting the
remainder of the original Business Park 95 Addition and including some recently acquired property
to the east. The area to be platted is approximately 65.5 acres in size and is proposed to be
subdivided into 6 industrial lots, 3 outlots for future development, 1 ouflot for drainage and utility
and one ouflot for possible future extension of McKinley Street to the City's eastern boundary.

CITIZEN INPUT

Leonard Spohn, Route 1, Box 425, Aitkin, Minnesota - noted that he sold the City of Ramsey a
parcel of property that's in this development. He requested a copy of the preliminary plat and
inquired how access was being planned to Lot 3, expressing concern that a piece of property
would be landlocked.

Ms. Frolik advised him that the lot runs adjacent to Uranium Street.

Mr. Spohn doubted the ability to find a tenant for such a large parcel as Lot 3.

Ms. Frolik explained that if it doesn't happen, then the lot can be subdivided and another street
could be put in.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to adjourn the public
hearing.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, Deemer, Jensen,
LaDue, Terry, and Thorud. Voting No: None.

Public Hearing/Planning Commission/April 2, 1996
Page 1 of 2
