CHARTER COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Charter Commission conducted a regular meeting on Thursday, September 7, <br />1995, at the Rarnsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Bernard Steffen <br />Commissioner Dennis Donovan <br />Commissioner Keith Kiefer <br />Commissioner Judy Marn <br />Commissioner Virginia Spain-Brist <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner John Goode <br />Commissioner Rodney Nelson <br />Commissioner Richard Netzloff <br />Commissioner Jay Swokowski <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Steffen called the regular meeting of the Charter Commission to order at 7:37 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kiefer and seconded by Commissioner Marn to approve the <br />following meeting minutes: <br /> <br />1) Charter Commission regular meeting minutes dated April 20, 1995 <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: <br />and Spain-Brist. Voting No: <br />and Swokowski. <br /> <br />Chairperson Steffen, Commissioners Kiefer, Mare, Donovan <br />None. Absent: Commissioners Goode, Nelson, Netzloff <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Charter Commission Terms <br /> <br />The terms of Commissioners Marn, Nelson and Swokowski expired May 12, 1995. <br />Commissioners Swokowski and Marn have indicated a desire to be reappointed. <br />Commissioner Nelson has asked that he not be reappointed. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was to advertise and interview applicants to fill the vacancy <br />created by Commissioner Nelson. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was to recommend Council reappoint Judy Mare and Jay <br />Swokowski to fulf'fll another term on the Charter Commission. <br /> <br />Charter Commission/September 7, 1995 <br /> Page I of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
