FIRE BOARD <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Fire Board conducted a regular meeting on Wednesday, July 12, 1995 at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Glen Hardin <br />Chairperson Alan Pearson <br />Boardmember Jori McLaughlin <br />Boardmember Chris Weiss <br />City Adminis~ator Ryan Schroeder <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler (ex-officio) <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Boardmember Chuck Williams <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Pearson called the regular meeting of the Fire Board to order at 6:05 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Boardmember McLaughlin and seconded by Boardmember Weiss to approve the Fire <br />Board meeting minutes dated April 12, 1995. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Chairperson Pearson, Boardmembers McLaughlin <br />and Weiss. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Beyer and Boardmember Williams. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda with the addition of Case #6, Mission Statement. <br /> <br />BOARD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Fire Chief Performance Evaluation <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder discussed the evaluation process for the Fire Chief including a plan <br />for departmental involvement. It was suggested by Boardmembers that the Assistant Chief be <br />intimately involved in advising the City Adminis~'ator on performance. Also, that it is a good idea <br />to survey the entire department, but that specific suggestions need follow-up by the City <br />Administrator prior to inclusion in a written review. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Hardin and seconded by Boardmember McLaughlin to continue with the <br />process. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Chairperson Pearson, Boardmembers McLaughlin <br />and Weiss. Voting No: None.
